My Approach
Sometimes we find ourselves getting lost and overwhelmed with the challenges and stressors of our lives, or past traumas and pains prevent us from healing and carving new paths. It takes courage to face what has been buried, but seeking help and support can show our potential.
There are many avenues to the healing arts, and it is important that we find what speaks to you. We will explore together the mix of approaches that best fits your needs.
I have experience integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and mind-body connection, neuroscience, and motivational interviewing in my practice. I continually add new learnings and approaches, as we are always changing and evolving.
Meet Deborah
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a foundation rooted from a strengths-based and trauma informed approach. Along my professional journey, I acquired years of practice with mindfulness techniques (as well as over 27 years of practicing yoga). My clinical experience draws from 17 years of social work practice with children, youth and families that have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect, as well as my lived experiences of transracial adoption, stroke/neurologic injury, and chronic health conditions.
I am a proud guardian of two sibling cats, who supervise me while I cook, do yoga or tend to my garden.
βThe tiny seed knew that in order to grow it needed to be dropped in dirt, covered in darkness, and struggle to reach the light.β ~ Sandra Kring
